Misc. Messages
A Consuming Fire: Fighting Pornography and all Impurity – March, 2007
The world system of darkness has unleashed an assault on marriage through pornography. It’s a consuming fire enveloping both young and old. Men cannot fail to be equipped with God’s defensive and offensive weapons against the attack if they expect to defeat this spiritual terrorism. The author of Hebrews provided both a plan of attack and a powerful incentive for protecting marriage from this defilement: Our God is a consuming fire!
Living Water Makes True Worshippers: John 4 – July 31, 2005
Exposition of the passage involving Jesus’s encounter with the woman at the well.
The Riches of God’s Glory – June, 2004
Does God choose to send people to hell? What are we to say about people who reject God’s gracious offer of the gospel? This passage, often misunderstood, is a powerful argument for the riches of God’s mercy and glory in the salvation of our souls.
God’s Will in Relationships: Romans 12:14 – July, 2004
The Apostle Paul teaches us how to prove God’s will in difficult relationships in the body of Christ through these verses in Romans.
Love, the Guiding Principle in Relationships: Romans 13:8-10 – September, 2004
One of the distinctions about believers is their obligation to love others because of how they have been loved by God. This passage in Romans 13 offers a guiding principle for all of life, but doesn’t teach that Christians shouldn’t take out loans!
What Will You Say for Yourself: Romans 14:10-12 – October, 2004
Quite often we are faced with brothers and sisters who serve the Lord in ways we are not free to serve. How should we respond to our brothers who differ with us? The apostle Paul put the focus on what we will say about our relationships when we come to stand before the Lord. What will you say for yourself?
Glorifying God in Burden Bearing: Romans 15:1-3 – November, 2004
What is our responsibility toward those who are weaker in faith? Is it to merely tolerate them? Do we have any responsibility to correct or teach them? We each face a root problem of selfishness when it comes to bearing the burdens of another. Learn from the great Apostle Paul the reason for bearing the burdens of the weaker brother in Christ.
