Hebrews 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

This verse encourages us that we, who are to inherit salvation, are not alone in this world. The work of the angels is not greater than the work of Christ Jesus. His work secured salvation for us. The angels were created and are assigned the work of ministering to us. We know of their ministry to Jesus, and any ministry to Him is for our sakes. Psalms 91:11 “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.” After the devil harassed Jesus in the wilderness, we read in Matthew 4:11, “Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.” Matthew 13:41 “The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness.” That’s for our sake that those stumbling blocks are removed. Michael and his angels are waring against the dragon, Satan, and his angels. Their ministry is primarily one of guarding and protecting us from the evil one and strengthening us in our walk.

As we walk in love each day, we can trust God to care for us through the angels. No, we can’t see them, but they are our ministers. They minister to us so we can minister to others in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father, for giving us salvation. We are amazed at your love and the inheritance we have in and through the work of Your Son. Thank You, also for sending out Your angels to help us fulfill your will. We are grateful today for the riches that are ours in Christ. Amen.
